1. The service
Altaris provides a SaaS platform for business acquisition research, financial analysis, and due diligence workflow management. The platform is provided "as is" for research and informational purposes only.
Altaris is not a financial adviser, legal adviser, or accountant. Nothing in the platform constitutes financial, legal, tax, or professional advice. You must obtain independent professional advice before completing any acquisition.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Subscription and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
- 14-day free trials are available on all plans. No credit card is required for the trial period.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Upload documents you do not have the right to share or process.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform by automated means.
- Share your account credentials with third parties.
- Use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm any person.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you upload or create in the platform. By using Altaris, you grant us a limited licence to process your data for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim any ownership of your deal data, documents, or business information.
6. AI outputs
AI-generated analysis, red flag reports, and financial calculations are produced by automated systems and may contain errors. They are provided for preliminary research purposes only. Altaris makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI output. You are solely responsible for verifying AI outputs before acting on them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Altaris and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses arising from any acquisition decision made in reliance on platform outputs.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will provide 14 days notice of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
